I opened this and let it sit for about 30 minutes before really sampling it. It is beautifully structured, tannic but smooth – very smooth. The finish was exceptional. Definitely some pencil lead and blackberry. It evolved somewhat over the next hour and it paired very nicely with a tenderloin/asiago cheese creation and the University [...]

We returned from our March trip to the Galapagos islands a couple of weeks ago, but I still think about it every morning, remembering the music that would waft over the intercomin the stateroom to gently nudge us awake.
